Dog Friendly S'mores

Aug 10, 2021

Around 80% of Australians go camping! To say that we love camping is an understatement. But you know what else we love even more? Our pets!

So it's only natural they should also enjoy what makes a great camping trip: bonfire and s'mores!

Though not all marshmallows are toxic to dogs, they certainly aren't good for your canine companion.

Made from sugar, corn syrup, gelatine, vanilla extract, and coated with either corn-starch or sugar, marshmallows contain no nutritional value or health benefits.

Instead, follow our dog friendly s'mores recipe below!

Ingredients:

  • Carob chips
  • Cream cheese
  • Simple dog biscuits (bone shape of square)

 Direction:

  1. Place carob chips in a bowl and melt at 30sec interval in microwave (or bain-marie).
  2. Spread a thin layer of cream cheese on a biscuit, dip in the melted carob and top with another biscuit (carob hardens fast so assemble quickly).

Make sure carob has cooled down before feeding to your dog.
