Terms of service

Last updated: 5 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to your use of the Doggy Grub website and to purchases of Doggy Grub products and subscriptions.

The website is operated by:

Doggy Grub Pty Ltd
ABN 89 660 225 927
ACN 660 225 927
Australia

Throughout these Terms, "Doggy Grub", "we", "us" and "our" refer to Doggy Grub Pty Ltd.

By using our website or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy and any other policies or information displayed on our website that apply to your purchase.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified.

1. Our products

Doggy Grub produces and sells shelf-stable dog food and related products.

Our products are made for dogs and are intended to be used in accordance with the feeding, storage and other instructions provided on the product packaging and our website.

Product information, including ingredients, nutritional information, feeding recommendations, storage instructions and other product information, is provided to help you make informed purchasing decisions.

You should read the product packaging and follow the applicable feeding and storage instructions.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, Doggy Grub products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent disease or other medical conditions in animals.

If your dog has a medical condition, specific dietary requirements or you are unsure whether a product is appropriate for your dog, we recommend consulting your veterinarian before changing your dog's diet.

2. Orders and acceptance

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase the products selected by you.

After you place an order, we will generally send you an order confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order.

An order is not necessarily accepted merely because you receive an order confirmation.

We may need to cancel or decline an order in limited circumstances, including where:

  • a product is unavailable;

  • there has been an obvious pricing or product description error;

  • we reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity;

  • we are unable to fulfil the order;

  • delivery to the nominated address is not reasonably possible; or

  • cancellation is otherwise permitted by law.

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will provide an appropriate refund.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

3. Prices and payment

All prices displayed on our website are in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise.

Prices include GST where applicable.

Delivery charges are displayed separately at checkout unless otherwise stated.

We currently accept payment methods made available through our Shopify checkout, which may include Shopify Payments and PayPal.

Payment must be successfully authorised before an order can be processed.

You are responsible for providing accurate billing and payment information and for ensuring that you have authority to use the payment method provided.

We reserve the right to correct obvious pricing errors before an order is dispatched. If an obvious pricing error has resulted in you placing an order at a price that is materially incorrect, we may contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the correct price. If you do not wish to proceed, we will provide an appropriate refund.

4. Subscriptions

Doggy Grub offers both one-off purchases and recurring subscription purchases.

A subscription has no minimum commitment period unless expressly stated otherwise for a particular offer.

You can cancel your subscription at any time.

You can manage your subscription through your customer portal or contact us at:

contact@doggygrub.com.au

How subscription orders work

When you start a subscription, you authorise us to arrange recurring orders in accordance with the subscription you selected.

The applicable subscription price, delivery fee and billing frequency will be shown to you when you subscribe.

We will generally send an email notification 3 days before your scheduled payment to remind you that your next subscription order is approaching.

If you want to:

  • cancel your subscription;

  • pause your subscription;

  • skip an upcoming order;

  • change your delivery details;

  • change your selected products or menu; or

  • otherwise modify an upcoming order,

you should make the change through your customer portal or contact us before the applicable order cut-off.

Changes after the cut-off

Once an order has entered our fulfilment or preparation process, we may be unable to make changes to that order.

If you request a change, cancellation or skip after the applicable cut-off and we are unable to stop the order from being processed, the order may still be prepared, charged and delivered.

This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

We will not charge you for an order that has been successfully cancelled before it is processed.

5. Subscription payments

Your subscription payment will generally be charged using the payment method authorised when you started the subscription.

If a payment fails, we or our subscription/payment providers may attempt to process the payment again or contact you to arrange an alternative payment method.

We may suspend or cancel a subscription where payment remains unsuccessful, subject to applicable law.

You remain responsible for amounts properly payable for products that have already been ordered or supplied.

6. Delivery

We currently deliver Doggy Grub orders within Australia.

Our standard delivery charges are currently:

  • South Australia: $5.90

  • Rest of Australia: $8.90

Delivery charges may change from time to time and the applicable charge will be displayed at checkout.

Dispatch

For orders placed before 11:00 am ACDT, we generally aim to pack and dispatch the order on the same business day.

Orders placed after 11:00 am ACDT will generally be packed and dispatched on the following business day.

Dispatch times may vary during periods of unusually high demand, public holidays, promotions, operational disruptions or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Estimated delivery times

Our current estimated delivery times are:

  • South Australia: approximately 2–3 business days after dispatch;

  • Rest of Australia: approximately 3–5 business days after dispatch.

These are estimates rather than guarantees. Delivery times can be affected by the delivery provider, weather, public holidays, remote locations, transport disruptions and other circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If a significant delivery delay occurs, please contact us so that we can assist.

7. Delivery providers

Our fulfilment and warehouse services are currently provided by AWDS in South Australia.

AWDS may use Australia Post, CouriersPlease, its own delivery services and/or other delivery providers to transport your order.

We provide delivery providers with the information reasonably necessary to deliver your order, such as your name, delivery address, telephone number and relevant order information.

8. Delivery instructions and unattended deliveries

You may provide delivery instructions at checkout where this option is available.

Our delivery providers will generally follow reasonable delivery instructions, subject to their own operational requirements and safety considerations.

If nobody is available to receive your parcel, your parcel may be left at the delivery address in accordance with your delivery instructions and/or the delivery provider's procedures.

Because Doggy Grub products are shelf-stable, our meals are designed to remain at ambient temperature after delivery.

Our validated storage information supports the products remaining at ambient temperature provided they remain below 41°C and are stored in accordance with the applicable product instructions.

Where possible, parcels should be kept in a cool, dry and shaded location and protected from direct sunlight and other sources of heat.

If you know that temperatures at your delivery location may exceed 41°C, or that the parcel may be exposed to prolonged direct heat or other unsuitable conditions, you should make appropriate delivery arrangements.

Once a parcel has been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions or the delivery provider's delivery procedures, you are responsible for taking reasonable care of the parcel and storing the products in accordance with the product instructions.

Nothing in this section limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law in relation to products that arrive damaged, defective or otherwise fail to meet applicable consumer guarantees.

9. Ownership and risk

Ownership of products passes to you when payment has been received and the products have been delivered to you or otherwise made available to you in accordance with the agreed delivery arrangements.

Risk in the products generally passes to you when the products are delivered to you in accordance with the agreed delivery arrangements.

This does not limit any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

10. Storage and use of Doggy Grub

Doggy Grub meals are shelf-stable and do not require refrigeration before opening when stored in accordance with the product instructions.

Store unopened products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and excessive heat.

Our current product information states that unopened Doggy Grub meals may be stored at ambient temperature and, subject to the applicable product packaging and use-by date, may be stored for up to 18 months.

Once a pouch has been opened, any unused portion should be refrigerated and used within the period stated on the product packaging or our current product instructions.

Do not feed products that have packaging that is visibly damaged, leaking, swollen, compromised or otherwise appears unsuitable for use.

If you have concerns about a product, please contact us before feeding it to your dog.

11. Product information and feeding recommendations

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that product descriptions, ingredient information, nutritional information, feeding guidance and other information published on our website are accurate and current.

However, information may occasionally change, and product packaging should be treated as the most current source of information about the product you have received.

Feeding recommendations are general guidance and may need to be adjusted depending on your individual dog's age, size, activity level, health and other circumstances.

If you are concerned about your dog's health or nutritional requirements, consult your veterinarian.

12. Consumer guarantees and refunds

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot legally be excluded, restricted or modified under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our products are covered by applicable consumer guarantees.

Among other things, goods supplied to consumers must meet applicable consumer guarantees, including that they are of acceptable quality, match their description and are fit for any purpose that you have made known to us and for which we have represented the goods are suitable.

If there is a problem with a product, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible at:

contact@doggygrub.com.au

Please provide your order number and, where possible, photographs or other information showing the problem.

Depending on the nature of the problem and your legal rights, we may provide a replacement, refund or other appropriate remedy.

Our assessment and any remedy will be handled in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law.

Consumer guarantees are not the same as a change-of-mind return policy. If you simply change your mind about a purchase, decide you no longer want a product, or purchase the wrong product, you may not have a legal right to a refund unless our separate returns policy or another applicable law provides one.

13. Damaged, incorrect or missing deliveries

Please contact us promptly if:

  • your order does not arrive;

  • your order arrives damaged;

  • products are missing;

  • you receive the wrong products;

  • packaging appears compromised; or

  • you otherwise believe there is a problem with your order.

We may ask for photographs, delivery information, order details or other reasonable information to help us investigate the issue.

Where a product or service does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, we will provide the remedy required by law.

14. Changes of mind and returns

Because Doggy Grub is a food product, we generally cannot accept returns of products that are no longer wanted or that have been opened, unless required by law.

If you have changed your mind about an unopened product, contact us before returning anything.

Any discretionary return or refund we offer is in addition to, and does not replace, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

15. Our responsibility for products

We take reasonable care in manufacturing, packaging, storing and supplying Doggy Grub products.

However, once products have been delivered, you are responsible for storing and handling them in accordance with the applicable product instructions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes our responsibility for matters that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable consumer guarantees or liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

16. Website information

We make reasonable efforts to ensure that information published on our website is accurate and current.

However, website content may occasionally contain typographical errors, omissions or information that has not yet been updated.

We may correct errors and update information from time to time.

Product packaging and other information supplied with your order may contain information that differs from older website content. Where this occurs, please follow the current product packaging and contact us if you have any questions.

17. Website availability

We aim to keep our website available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free.

Website availability may be affected by maintenance, technical issues, internet or telecommunications failures, third-party services and circumstances outside our reasonable control.

18. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the content on the Doggy Grub website, including our text, photographs, graphics, logos, branding, product descriptions, designs, videos, software and other material, is owned by or licensed to Doggy Grub Pty Ltd and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may access and use the website for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

You must not reproduce, modify, copy, publish, distribute, sell, license or commercially exploit our website content without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.

19. Customer reviews and submissions

We welcome genuine customer feedback and reviews.

If you submit a review, photograph, video, testimonial or other content to us, you remain responsible for that content.

You must not submit content that:

  • is unlawful;

  • is defamatory or misleading;

  • infringes another person's intellectual property or privacy rights;

  • contains malicious software;

  • impersonates another person;

  • is abusive, threatening or discriminatory; or

  • otherwise breaches these Terms or applicable law.

By submitting content to us, you grant Doggy Grub a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, display and publish that content for the purposes of operating, promoting and marketing Doggy Grub, subject to applicable law.

You retain ownership of your content.

We may remove or decline to publish content that we reasonably consider inappropriate, unlawful, misleading or inconsistent with these Terms.

Where we separately ask for permission to use your content in a particular way, that permission will apply in addition to these Terms.

20. Third-party websites and services

Our website may contain links to third-party websites or may use third-party services, applications or tools.

Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy policies.

We are not responsible for the content, security, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites that we do not control.

However, nothing in this section limits any rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.

21. Prohibited use

You must not use our website:

  • for an unlawful purpose;

  • to infringe the rights of Doggy Grub or another person;

  • to introduce viruses, malware or other harmful code;

  • to interfere with the security or operation of our website;

  • to attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems;

  • to scrape or systematically extract website content without our permission;

  • to submit false or misleading information;

  • to impersonate another person;

  • to engage in fraudulent activity; or

  • in any way that breaches applicable law.

22. Accounts

Where you create a customer account, you are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and taking reasonable steps to protect your login credentials.

You should notify us if you believe that your account has been accessed without authorisation.

We may suspend or restrict access to an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention or other legitimate business purposes, subject to applicable law.

23. Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control, including natural disasters, severe weather, transport disruptions, strikes, government restrictions, infrastructure failures, major technical failures, pandemics, supply disruptions or failures of third-party delivery or technology providers.

Where such an event affects an order you have already paid for, we will take reasonable steps to communicate with you and provide an appropriate solution where required by law.

24. Privacy

Our collection and handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, who we may disclose it to and how you can contact us about privacy matters.

25. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to our products, services, business operations or legal obligations.

The current version will be published on our website with the date it was last updated.

Changes will apply prospectively from the date they are published, unless otherwise required or permitted by law.

A change to these Terms will not retrospectively alter rights or obligations that have already accrued under an earlier version.

Where required by law, we will provide appropriate notice of material changes.

26. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia.

Any dispute will be subject to the applicable courts and laws of South Australia, subject to any rights you may have to bring proceedings in another jurisdiction under applicable law.

Your rights under Australian law

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict or modify your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable law.

If any provision of these Terms is inconsistent with a non-excludable legal right, that legal right will prevail to the extent of the inconsistency.

If a provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, it will be read down or severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
